JACQUELYN PAYKEL

Menopause & Midlife Whole Health Guidance

Welcome

Midlife is not simply a hormonal transition—it is a life transition.

Many women arrive here feeling confused, dismissed, or unsure where to turn. They may be wondering whether hormone therapy is right for them, how to make sense of conflicting information, or how to advocate for care that truly reflects their values and whole lives.

I created this space to offer clarity, perspective, and support—without rushing, minimizing, or oversimplifying this important season.

Who I Am

Jacquelyn Paykel, MD, MBA
Menopause & Midlife Health Guide
Whole Health Menopause Strategist
Certified Coach | Founder, S.H.E. Medical

I am a physician by training, a certified coach, and a lifelong advocate for Whole Health—care that honors the body, mind, relationships, environment, meaning, and purpose.

Over decades of clinical practice, leadership, and women’s health work, I’ve cared for thousands of women navigating menopause and midlife transitions. Today, I bring that experience forward in a guidance and coaching role, helping women make informed, values-aligned decisions about their health and next steps.

I am not practicing medicine or using my medical license in this role. Instead, I serve as a trusted guide and strategist, helping women understand their options, prepare for conversations with clinicians, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

What I Offer (and What I Don’t)

What I Do Offer

  • Education about menopause and midlife health

  • Hormone literacy: understanding benefits, risks, and options

  • Whole Health coaching and perspective

  • Support clarifying goals, values, and priorities

  • Preparation for conversations with prescribing clinicians

  • Care navigation and referrals to menopause-informed, integrative clinicians

  • Thoughtful, unhurried space to ask real questions

What I Do Not Provide

  • Medical diagnosis

  • Prescription of medications or hormone therapy

  • Medical treatment or management

  • Replacement for a licensed clinician

This distinction is intentional. It allows me to work ethically, nationally, and in a way that centers you—your understanding, your voice, and your informed choice.

How This Is Different From Medical Care

A prescribing clinician focuses on diagnosis, treatment, and medical management.

My role is different—and complementary.

As a Menopause & Midlife Health Guide, I help you:

  • Make sense of complex or conflicting information

  • Understand why certain options may or may not fit your situation

  • Reflect on what truly matters to you at this stage of life

  • Feel prepared, confident, and respected when seeking medical care

Many women find that this kind of guidance transforms their experience—whether or not they ultimately choose hormone therapy.

Why Women Choose This Approach

Women often come to me when they:

  • Feel rushed or dismissed in clinical visits

  • Want balanced, integrative information—not extremes

  • Are considering hormone therapy and want clarity before deciding

  • Value Whole Health, context, and thoughtful decision-making

  • Want help finding a clinician who truly understands menopause

This work is about restoring agency, not directing outcomes.

A Note on Credentials and Integrity

You may notice that I reference my medical and leadership background while clearly stating that I am not practicing medicine in this role.

I believe transparency builds trust.

  • MD reflects my medical training and experience

  • MBA reflects my systems-level understanding of healthcare and leadership

  • Certified Coach reflects my coaching education and approach

  • Guide and Strategist reflect the role I am serving for you now

I am here to support, educate, and guide—not to prescribe.
